Soldats de La Belle Époque

John Bertolini’s 40mm Bleisoldaten
Cavalry: French (1880 – 1914) and German (1880 – 1915)

Pattern molds were created this past weekend.
Assuming I find no serious flaws we will have:
German:

  • Uhlan
  • Hussar
  • Currassier

French:

  • Dragoon
  • Chasseur/Hussar
Raw castings. No cleanup, simply removed from the mold.
Have no fear, these will be sorted, examined and cleaned up for use as pattern figures for production molds.
Oops! Here we see what happens when I take workbench photos while not wearing my glasses; Casting from a cold spin has some unwanted flash on the right boot.
