Looking Back and Ahead

A quiet 2019 has come to a close. Not a lot to report from 2019; the standout as far as sales go is the popularity of the Mexican American War. The Scruby 25mm range for this period was our best seller for the year. We cast so many figures that we actually wore out the new molds we made just a few years ago. Guess it is time for a review of the molds so we can make a plan for mold replacement (might not be right away, unless the wave of popularity continues into 2020).

Our other highlight is that we made more progress on re-molding the classic (Scruby) 40mm figures. Still not clear just how many we can bring back into production (missing or damaged masters), but we are indeed making progress. The 40mm figures will get their own section and the currently available figures should be updated and added in the next 10 days.

In other 40mm news, we started work on bringing John Bertolini’s 40mm figures into production. The first figures are already listed and available. The first releases of John Bertolini’s 40mm Bleisoldaten: Soldats de La Belle Époque are very nice figures. They are fun to paint and look really good on the table top.

All in all , we are looking to make 2020 the year of 40mm. A couple more, limited ranges will be listed soon. Add in the classic 40mm and John’s new 40mm and we will have a bumper crop of 40mm goodness.

Happy New Year!
